Professional Experience and Community Engagement
Drawing on extensive experience in business management, marketing and sales, along with more than ten years of volunteer service with Scouts Canada, I currently serve as a Co-Group Commissioner for a local Scout group. In this capacity, I actively contribute to ensuring high-quality programming, prioritizing member safety, and supporting successful fundraising initiatives.
My core competencies include written communication, project management, marketing, and community engagement. Through my volunteer work, I help organize Scouting activities in the community and raise awareness about our mission. I work collaboratively to support Scouters and uphold Scouts Canada’s policies while maintaining a focus on empowering teams and creating safe, enriching programs for youth. My overall goal is to strengthen community ties and support organizational growth within this Scout group.
The importance of community has consistently influenced my professional decisions, making it a logical basis for my career transition into fulltime marketing. With two decades of experience as a volunteer, a small-business owner, and an education in Business Administration, I am well equipped to understand and connect with prospective clients. I want to share my experiences, particularly in business management to guide others in the art of using cost-efficient strategies to succeed in a small business.
